Yes, Santa left an iPad for every staff this year! We will have something for everyone! We will be SHOPPING, Reading a Book, Work as a Community, Go on a Field Trip! Come ready to have FUN!
8:00-8:30 Staff that have not picked up their iPads MEET, others work in rooms until 8:30
Intro, sign agreement and hand in, set up email, set up dropbox, atomic learning login, set apple id, organize folders--productivity--don't delete any apps we put in here.
Go through first screen
Set apple ID in settings.
Go to Itunes U
Explain command center, search, scrolling.

Save as a web clip
Work on cleaning up folders: You can create a folder of icons on the iPad screen. To do this, enter the "move state" by touching an iPad app and holding your finger down on it until the app icons are jiggling. Any app that you x is removed. Do not remove any of the productivity apps as those are paid apps.

9:30-10:30
Noteability (Bob and his class)
Go into noteability, pick theme, pick subject, Professional Development, put agenda in it. Pick divider. Show how to move folders and divider. Show how to make notes, how to add audio, how to edit notes ou have. Can share to dropbox, google drive, and email to someone. One of the best features is PDF annotation so you can import class notes, lectures, or presentation slides, and add notes wherever you like. This feature is one of the most important that the iPad is capable of, especially with the proliferation of slides across classes and meetings. The app also includes automatic cloud syncing that links with Dropbox
Evernote is the Swiss Army knife of iPad apps. I use Evernote for a little bit of everything from bookmarking websites to dictating notes to myself. The app automatically syncs with my online Evernote account so that I can access my notes, bookmarks, and saved files from any computer or device that is connected to the web.
