Welcome to the Garretson Middle School!
 On behalf of the Garretson School District, I would like to welcome you to Garretson Middle School. GMS sets high expectations and works hard toward meeting the Garretson School District Mission statement of “Creating a Gateway to Life-Long Learning”. GMS students have daily classes in reading, language arts, science, social studies and math. Along with these core classes, there are also opportunities for band, mixed choir, music appreciation, Spanish, art, computers and physical education. With the adoption of the Power of ICU program we are striving to create an environment of rigorous curriculum, effective instructional practices and accountability throught extra time and help for all students when needed.
We believe that that effective communication between school and home will create positive relationships. GHS has a strong curriculum, effective teachers and provides opportunities for students to reach their potentials as students and individuals.
